As a kid I always loved that time on Christmas morning when all the presents were unwrapped. And the stockings' loot scattered on the living room floor.
The time when you started to gather all your goodies together, and most importantly decide which to play with first. (Or if you were a mega nerd like me, how to arrange them decoratively on your desk hutch.)
Well... it feels a lot like Christmas morning around here, since I have literally thousands of new photos to play with (scrapbook, upload, edit...).
Though it was difficult choosing where to begin I ended up going with the photos and videos we took at Santa Monica Pier Thursday. It was a really blissful experience filled with cold water and pure silliness, and some much needed relaxing after and before all-together too much driving.
So... in the spirit of giving... I give you my very first attempt at personal movie making.
Thanks Ginny and Jessie for participating both in the filming and later producing of this little montage. And thank you guys again for joining us on the road. It's hard to fathom just how many prayers and yahoos were said in our honor while out on our adventure, but I know it must have been a lot 'cause we made it back alive. And I received a lot of "welcome back" hugs at church tonight.
From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU again!
And, enjoy!
I was just informed that I'm a Youtube idiot, and the video I uploaded was set to private. So here it is again. For real.
Thanks Allison.
And glad it meets your approval Ginny. (Hope you saw your scarf was a hit).
The Vegas video is still a work in progress... But I can happily say Jessie sprang for a Katy Perry song so we didn't have to use my defaulted one (White Houses by Vanessa Carlton, which was sooo not appropriate though I did make good use of my Henry Winkler picture).
