I know we've all got places to be, and lots and LOTS to eat, so I'll try to keep this short and sweet.
Happy Turkey Day everyone!
Seriously, there is so much to be thankful for this year, it's hard to know where to start.
But instead of bothering you with bullet points of my personal gratitudes I thought it might be nice to simply share this.
It's a song my grandmother sometimes starts before our meals.
That pretty much encompasses my gratitutdes in a nutshell, or a very pretty song.
I am so thankful for my family's health, strength (the kind it takes to get through each day, not the Popeye kind), and last, but most definitely not least, the daily bread (or in today's case, crescent rolls - woo woo!).
The best part about Thanksgiving has always been the company the meals have been shared with, but it's especially great this year - my first Thanksgiving with my husband, and my brother's driving in from Austin, my sister's making her first pie, Teddy (the corgi) is here to bark at us from the yard...
I am blessed and honored to get to carb-out with the ones I love.
I hope your holiday is relaxing, rejuvenating, and that your pants leave room for a second slice of pie.
Happy Thanksgiving y'all. See ya when I wake from my turkey coma.
As always, I enjoy your beautiful sentiments. Thank you for sharing, old friend. :)
